Frequently Asked Questions
What is Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step, world-wide program with foundations firmly established on biblical truth.
Who is Celebrate Recovery for?
Anyone ages 18 and older only that are struggling from hurts, habits, or hang-ups are welcome. That’s all of us! Celebrate Recovery is not just for those recovering from chemical or alcohol addiction. It can include any kind of struggle in our lives such as anger, marital challenges, grief and loss, anxiety, codependency, trauma, eating problems, depression, abuse, broken relationships, coping with divorce or debt… you name it! Some come because they are seeking support because a family member is struggling. Everybody needs recovery!
How do I get started?
Just show up! Look for someone with a lanyard upon your arrival and these welcoming individuals will walk you through everything you need to know.
What can I expect when I come to the Meeting?
6pm - Arrive and Connect
Enjoy food and conversation.
6:30pm - Large Group Meeting
A time of worship, a lesson (or a testimony), and other program related announcements to boost and equip you against your hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
7:15pm - Small Groups
Offered each week following the Large Group Meeting. These issue and gender specific groups are designed to allow you an opportunity to share about your struggles and victories and connect with others who may be going through hurts, habits, and hang-ups that you can relate to. If you have never attended Celebrate Recovery before, you will attend the Newcomers 101 Group. It explains a brief history about how Celebrate Recovery got started, how our program works, and what to expect the next time when you attend a Small Group.
Is there an expectation to share and attend every meeting?
Each one of us is unique, and so are our journeys in recovery. Some people are open to sharing and getting involved, others like to listen and observe. We respect the pace that your recovery takes; attend and share as you are comfortable!
How much does it cost?
Attending Celebrate Recovery is free. The program is a gift to you! If you would like to give a donation or contribute to Celebrate Recovery, you will have the opportunity to do so during our meeting, but it is not expected.
Do I have to attend LifePoint Church to Participate?
No, Celebrate Recovery is a program for anyone who is interested in a Christ centered recovery program that will enable them to seek hope and healing from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
Any other things I should know?
Unfortunately, childcare is NOT available.
Our facilities are not fully handicap accessible at this time; however, we will do our best to accommodate you!
When you arrive to the church, look for Celebrate Recovery signage outside. It will guide you to the location where we will greet you.
